An entity identified in and/or controlled by AssetWise, to achieve the goals of object data management.AssetWise manages two classes of objects:

• Primary Objects - which include physical items, virtual items, and documents. Combinations of these objects are used to define and control a object.
• Secondary Objects - which include persons, organizational units, changes, modifications, waivers, deviations, distribution lists, notes, work orders, tasks, and locations. You can relate these secondary objects in a specific logic to the primary objects, to identify or underwrite a specific condition or relationship.

Any object is characterized by a prime identifier, attributes and, when required, relationships with other objects.
